How old are you? Honestly I would wait, get BC that lasts a few years just incase you do end up changing your mind it would be easier than untying your tubes

After I have baby 2 I'm getting my tubes clamped.

id wait my hubby n i are on baby 2 but he wants three total. this will b our second lil girl n hoping for a boy in a couple years. if no boy tht time we may trt one last time.

don't do it.. you may want another baby some time in the future. and you can always stop taking birth control but if you get a tube reversal pregnancy isn't always promised.

read up on the effects, ive heard lots of horror stories and side effects, it sometimes not worth it. just research before you make your decision. wish you the best

Depending.on your state they won't allow you to tie your tubes until you are a certain age or have a certain amount of kids bit me.personally I wouldn't tie mine after the first get on a good BC cause if you want another one once u untie they I've heard women have trouble conceiveing

😳 wow. IMO I think it is your choice. But if you are young there's always a chance you might want another. I thought I was done at 1 child myself and I was only 21. I am glad I didn't personally. I am on baby #3 and 32 btw. I do have friends that just decided one was enough and they are satisfied. Others had two or more and seem content. It's all a personal choice.

I wouldnt BC would if you want another little baby. I mean u can always get them untied. but its up to you mommy to b. good luck & lots of prayers

I'm not much older than you, but I am a lot different than I was when I was 18. Especially when it comes to the decisions I made. I'm sure you have very reasonable good reasons on why you would do that now, but the future is so unclear and something so permanent could be very regretful. There are a lot of other good options that can keep you from getting pregnant, even for the next 5 years! Even having your husband get a vasectomy can be easier to reverse! But to each their own!! I am 32 on Nov 13th, and this is my 5th baby. Im so glad I didn't get my tubes tied like I wanted to after my second child. You never, ever know what the future holds - anf being that you're young, chances are you may end up wanting more. I would instead suggest getting an IUD like Mirena that lasts for 5 years and works just as well as getting them tied.

your chances of finding a Dr who will tie your tube at 18 with 1 child for no medical reason are slim to none. they have awesome bc that lasts for years and insurance covers most of them. something seems up

@steph11, I spoke to my doctor she will do it, she jus said for us to make sure that's what we want done.

girl I had them done at 21 biggest mistake of my life, I had to pay to get them reverse now pregnant don't do it. People change, you will or maube not changed your mind if he doesn't want no more ask him to get it done.
