Would you give your 4 yr old ibuprofen if they had a 99.7 temp under their arm? He's been sick but…

I'd get children's ibuprofen or Motrin

try giving him a cool bath before giving him ibuprofen and give him cold water or have him eat ice or ice cream

I was told to give infant tylonal and not ibuprofen by her pediatrician..always ask his pediatrician for doeses

I wouldn't give any meds for that low of a fever. The body is trying to fight something off. If you give meds and take that slight fever away it could reduce his body fighting. Now if it goes up to 100 or 101 of course I would give meds but 99 is still a "normal" temp for a child. Try maybe a washcloth or a bath.

That was my thought too @hward12 ill wait until tonight when it spikes. @eskawho he's ok to have Motrin just don't wanna give it unless he absolutely needs it

@just9monthsx3, temp rises at night so I def would give him some before bed so he doesn't wake up with a major fever
