If you're in the stages of early pregnancy, put big ticket items on layaway. It's way easier to deal with and your pockets won't take a big hit buying things all at once (unless you're balling like that). I had to buy everything on my own and let me tell you, it adds up!!!

seriously! I did the same since I'm not having a shower and it's the only way I've been able to get everything for my daughter. So thankful for layaway.

I was told I was having a shower and it was cancelled so I ended up buying everything myself. I'm 38 weeks and I just got a car seat and crib a couple weeks ago! I don't have money like that. I was stressed out! @levleah

@emteebee, girl... my family did me wrong like that. Except they just told me up front they were giving me a shower because my baby was being born out of wedlock. I just got my car seat out of layaway on Sunday. I've had to learn to rely only on myself... but it's made me very appreciative of the things I've been able to buy for my daughter. Never thought I'd be so grateful for layaway programs.

@maybaby2016, Not sure if this is just in Arkansas where I am, but wal-mart is offering layaway through December 14th.

My family did the same thing because it's not right in the eyes of God. But you know what, people will get over it. Yeah, they'll treat you like dirt and probably won't be the same after the fact, but they will get over. We came in this world alone and that's how we're going out. So I've learned to move on and I struggle everyday. Better days are coming. @levleah
