my baby is almost 2 weeks old I was told at the hospital to feed her an oz every 2 to 3 hrs well I've now moved it up to 3oz every 3 hrs or so I've been waking her at night and I hate it cause she sleeps so good but sometimes she will wake up right on time asking to be fed. so do I really need to continue waking her every 3 hrs at night or should I just let her wake me up?

once baby is back to birth weight you no longer need to wake baby unless baby was born with jaundice, then it just depends on how quick that resolves

I usually feed my daughter on demand which is when she wakes up

my daughter is 3 weeks old and I don't wake her up anymore I let her wake up on her own

Yeah l would let her wake her self up. And 2-3 oz is the right amount a 2week old should be getting.

I asked my dr the same thing and she said that he can sleep ad long as he needs and to let him wake up on his own. she said 5-6 hours straight of sleep is fine
