I had my 20 week anatomy scan today. Everything checked out perfectly with the baby girl! However; I believe the doctor was beating around the bush that I have placenta previa. It was the last thing he talked about and basically he said jokingly; "don't go into labor today because your placenta is covering your cervix." He was not my doctor. The scan was done at an independent location. So, as soon as I left I googled what that meant as I had no idea. Anyone have any insight on the condition? I have a doctors appointment on Thursday and I'm sure it will all be addressed then. Feeling very discouraged.

your placenta can move up. I know a girl who had placenta previa and it moved up and she delivered naturally

Thank you @wiccanmommy! That's what I am reading. I'm just praying that it moves as my uterus expands.

it's more likely you will need to be monitored more closely, and may need a scheduled c-section since it would be very dangerous to deliver with the placenta in the way.
