well I had a horrible experience all together, me and my fiancé didn't even find out he was in the nicu until 10 pm or so that night (he was born at 9:40 that morning) when they finally were going to let me see him and then they were like oh he's in the nicu you can't see him unless you go there, so I got my freshly c-sectioned butt up and tried to walk there until they caught up with me with a wheelchair and made me sit down and wheeled me down there @kartersmom

@dianne0825, Oh wow I'm sorry. they've been pretty straight forward with me about everything they'll have one test result in a few hours. They did tell me it would be 2-7 days he could be in there. They don't know what it is but they told me the test they took and what they're looking for and what's happens if they find certain things. Thanks tho and I'm sorry you had that to go through that even tho they talk to me it doesn't make it any easier that he's in there so I can only imagine what you went through

@kartersmom, my son was admitted to the nicu when he was born and I was told that they thought he had an infection but weren't sure what kind so they started him on antibiotics just as a precaution and it was 5 days of antibiotics, and on the 6th days they did blood work to make sure the antibiotics worked for whatever the infection was and then he was able to be released but they wouldn't release him before that and wouldn't tell me anything about what was going on, just telling you so if you aren't already (which I'm sure you are) you can ask every question you can possibly think of until you get all the answers you are needing/looking for

pre caution mot than anything. but he has an infection and that don't know what it is yet. I'll know tomorrow if I can take him home
