So even though I was induced at 40 weeks and 4 days, I thought I'd tell my labor story. I was originally suppose to go in Monday the 19th at 7pm to start cytotec for 12 hours before the Pitocin. They called and said there was a slight delay and kept telling me to call back every time I checked. Finally at 5:45 AM, they called to tell me my room was ready and I got up so fast to get ready. We got to the hospital around 7 or so and started doing paperwork until my doctor came in. She told them to start the IV and then she'd be back to break my water! It was the weirdest feeling ever.. I started shaking so bad afterwards. An hour or so later, they started the Pitocin. 2 mu every 15 minutes I believe. My back started hurting an hour or two in and I had no idea they were contractions and had no idea I'd be one of the ones to experience back labor. I held off on the epidural until 5cm and it was heaven on earth! An hour later I was already dilated to a 10 and was ready to push! The nurse I had was very discouraging saying I wasn't pushing good and that I needed to do better because I kept getting a fever. When my doctor would come in to check on me, she got me to push so good and kept pushing me and motivating me to keep pushing. I only pushed for an hour thanks to her! She had to cut me, second degree. Kayden arrived on 10/20/2015 @ 5:59 PM weighing 8.5 pounds and measuring 19.5 inches long. She didn't cry when she came out. They did everything to make her but she wouldn't budge and so they called other nurses in.. I was scared something was wrong with her but they said she was perfect! My doctor said, "that's how much of a boss she is." haha. I'd go through all of that again in a heartbeat. Was in labor for a total of 11 hours :) #laborstory
