@39surp, because I'm 40 years old and my medical history. My Dr said women 40+ years old that go beyond 39 weeks poses higher risks for stillborns and other fatalities....I guess our old bodies aren't as healthy as we once were. lol

I will be 40 1/2 when my baby is due. I'm worried this time about my age. I know things really change the older we get lol!

@39surp, you don't look it! believe it or not many women our age are having babies. My Dr actually said she hates the term geriatric pregnancy and high risk for older women...she said statistically younger women have just as many complications as we do. You will be fine! congratulations on your pregnancy!!! it's a beautiful thing!
