So I never got the blood work test done with my son that tells you if they have Down syndrome, spinal bifida or trisomy 18. But today I decided to get the test done for this pregnancy. Not that it is going to change anything or any decisions but I think it would be nice to know if something is wrong so we can prepare and do as much research and get ready as much as we can. I have a sister with autism and I have seen how much the proper help can be positive for her.

you could wait intell your gender ultrasound when they check an measure the baby they will tell you then if they see any abnormalities

@braylinsmommy, we found out what we are having today. We have the anatomy scan in 2 weeks. Yes they can tell you during then but also the blood test can tell you the same results and will be less likely to miss something.

i think there both equal ive heard of many people who did the blood test and it gave false results.

@braylinsmommy, they told me before getting the test that it can give off false positives. I think the timing is perfect because I'll get the results back next week and then go to the doctor for anatomy scan week after that.
