Yo someone on my Facebook is giving her baby water.. Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought you couldn't give baby water until a year
I mean there's no point in it, it's just for "taste." Some don't do it at all, you don't have to, but it's just if you want to. I started then, but not every day and my daughters 9 months and she gets 2 oz of water plus 2oz of juice with her snacks, if her child is under 6 months it's not really a good thing. Not tryna sound like a doctor or anything just looking out.
@man abear01, I thought so I was Lik hold up I know her son is only a couple of days older then my daughter and I'm definitely not giving her water
I know! at first I asked a lot of questions because I thought it was bad to give them water at 6 months but the pediatrician said it was fine. But if the mother in Facebook is giving her daughter water if she is younger than 6 months she can get water intoxication so she has to be careful =( @amorebello
@mamabear01, really? I never really asked my kids doctors about giving them water I just stick to formula since their getting water in that
@their.bomb.ass.mom, this baby isn't even 6 months yet.. It's only like three weeks older then my daughter.. I just never gave my son water so young so I was shocked
It's okay at 6 months, it has no nutritional value so there is no real point, you don't have to, but what she said ^ no more than 2-4 oz a day. any younger than that I wouldn't though.
@their.bomb.ass.mom I understand what you mean.. That's why I asked before I said something to her.. I think her baby just started foods so she asking people different foods to try... But thanks for answering cause I always thought a year.. I was scared to mix my daughter prune juice when she couldn't go
