I'm currently 33w. At my appt yesterday I found out I have way to much fluid in my uterus making me measure at 41w. I have to see a specialist and prepare for a premature birth. Has anyone else gone or is going thru this. I didn't have diabetes and the baby looked perfect in the ultrasound so they are puzzled to what may be causing so much extra fluid.

i dont want to scare you, but since you're asking, i have heard of this before. my MIL had it while pregnant with my BIL. he has a pituitary disorder that inhibits his growth, he was on growth hormones as a kid. he's shorter now, but you'd never know he had any kind of disorder. other than that, he's completely healthy and normal. very smart. I don't think they ever confirmed tbatt the two were related, so if they weren't, it didn't affect him at all. I've also heard it can mean that the baby isn't swallowing the amniotic fluid like they are supposed to.
