I'm due Christmas Day! I told my family (we don't want friends visiting in the hospital) to be updated on shots. My mom said I was crazy, but she's nuts if she thinks I'm letting a newborn get sick!

exactly! I got attacked by my husbands family the other day because I wanted an hour of quiet time after he's born, and if you're sick you must either have the flu shot, or wear a face mask and wash your hands and arms thoroughly. And they got all butt hurt over it. @taileykull

My thoughts exactly! And I told my husband I want the first hour just us three... He doesn't understand that it's an intimate time for us and he's down for everyone and their momma being there 😑

Well my Dr told me that anyone having contact with the baby before the baby gets vaccines needs to be vaccinated to protect the baby.

Lol, my husbands entire family is coming down.. it's like mmmm, maybe 20 people. And then there's mine coming too, but that's only 4 :P @taileykull
My Midwife said that it's recommended that they get vaccinated, but they don't have to. If they take the precautionary measures when coming in contact with the baby, that they should be fine. @pregomego. but it still has me nervous, even for the smokers holding my baby.. I'm allergic to cigarette smoke, and therefore it's hard enough for me to breath around it, let alone my baby.
