Moms, who already had their babies, did you receive hepatitis B vaccine ? Did you get it right after baby was born? Did it somehow affected your baby(baby got sick, irritable or sleepy)?

I chose to not give my baby that shot at birth. she got the vitamin k but not that one. just my personal choice.

@mdomke22, what about eye ointment? You still have to do hep b vaccine(at least in some states it's a law) are you going to do it later?

I did the eye ointment yes to help with infection. but they haven't brought up about her getting it. she's now 9 months and has gotten all her other shots. I just felt at birth her body didn't need that crap put in her

I got it for my daughter.. They made me sign papers and all but she was fine. Honestly I don't know if she was sleepy because she slept a lot those first days anyway

@santistevanmommie, I'm glad she's fine! Being a parent is a lot of responsibility. My baby isn't born yet and I already feel overwhelmed

I know how you feel. I went through periods of feeling completely overwhelmed and not prepared for all the changes that would come, but honestly once she came it all kinds just fell into place and I pretty much just knew what to do by instinct.
