My husband and I went to a tattoo expo last weekend. Good thing we went because we found a tattooist/piercer who will kindly pierce Sofia's ears and she's almost 7 months. He had pictures of younger babies getting their ears pierced by him.
I just know from my own experience that I had a better experience, faster healing, no infections, etc etc from my needle piercings than I did with my gun piercings. So that's why I want to get my dd's ears done the way I do.
Wanted to get my daughters done at 2 months. but. I'm way too nervous to take her to Walmart or Claire's and them use a gun, when they have little to no idea what they're doing half the time. just some random person with a gun. I'd much prefer a professional piercer. We haven't gotten them done yet, and she's 9 months old. But I will for her first birthday.
Not a problem @emmagrace_mum I've too searched long and hard until I found someone willing to do so. Some piercers just want your child to be vaccinated, and some may want you to wait until a certain age to where they feel comfortable enough doing so.
I plan to take my daughter to a piercer over a Claire's or Wal-Mart or whatever when she decides she wants them done too. I've not started looking yet, but I'm just glad other people are of the same thought!
The best thing to do is look and call your local tattoo shops. The reason I'm choosing a piercer because of sanitation purposes and it's a needle as oppose to the earring which can cause permanent damage and trauma to the earlobe, I've had mine done with I was a few weeks old and I still had to get them redone. My previous holes closed up but are still visible. @emmagrace_mum
I've been wanting to get Emma's done to, but I don't know no where else but Claire's and they'll only do it if you purchase their earrings which I don't like... can I get the 411? if you don't mind me asking
