ouch, I'm gonna get a c section. do you have to clean it and keep it bandaged?

I had to keep mine bandaged cuz part of incision didn't close all the way. an yes make sure u clean it everyday. trust me u don't want to get an infection they stink. mine doesn't hurt just the smell is awful!

No I haven't had that happen yet and it's been 4 weeks. just still sore if I do too much

has it been looked at recently? @melissafrattinger hope it gets better soon! can't imagine having to worry about that while taking care of a newborn

did you both get staples? @kitty10 @melissafrattinger I heard they either use staples or stitches..

Ya they looked at it today. it only started this morning so I'm hoping the antibiotics will take it away. I get it looked at again Thursday. Ya it's pretty stressful to deal with recovery an my baby an now an infection. Thank goodness for my mom staying her to help me with her.

@katiechickie, no, just dissolvable stitches. took the bandage off on the 2nd day

hmm ok ..staples scare me lol. have a consultation with the OB GYN next week

I had staples they removed them the day I left the hospital an then put glue on the incision to hold it together.

When I had my csection they advised that it is to be kept dry, which after I had my daughter, my belly hung. I asked them how is it possible to keep is dry, if I sweat & it gets moist. They gave me these 4 little pieces of fabric that I had to put on my incision. It will absorb any moisture, but allow it to breath at the same time. Maybe you could ask for those @melissafrattinger
