so I wanted to share this with you guys. a mom friend of mine who has delivered in the states and Germany shared this and shared her different birth experiences with the 2. I'm really nervous about giving birth since it's going to be my first child and I'm doing it in a foreign country. but then I did my hospital tour and saw the delivery room (my hospital's rooms look more like the bottom picture with the tub in a separate room) and it really eased my mind that I can give birth the way I want to. they told us that once we get there, we have as much freedom to move around as we like. the rooms are so much different than the picture and actual birthing rooms I've seen in the states.

my goal is all natural no medication. my mom is coming over on the 11th so hopefully he doesn't decide to show up too early since I'm not due til the 20th and she will be taking more pictures than I'll probably want at the time lol @mamabear01

that's insane @mamabear01 all the nurses in l&d are certified midwives and when I was there for my appointment a few weeks ago I saw a woman walking up and down the hall right outside the ward. even though there's a language barrier, my friend said they were really awesome about listening to what she wanted. I'm hoping there's no one in the tub when I'm there because I really wanna use it
Wow! when I was in labor I wanted to take a bath so bad!!! there was a shower with a shower chair inside the shower and I kept asking the nurses if I can take a shower to relax my contractions considering that I was having a 100% natural birth without medication and they said NO! I was extremely pissed cause I was frustrated ,sweating and in pain. and they told me I couldn't walk outside the room or anything to dialate more and I was like what the hell!!! I just wanted to cry because nobody approved any of my requests!!
they really have anything and everything in the room so you can labor exactly how you want. my friend walked around and labored in the tub and ended up delivering on all fours on the table. and an ipod dock with an aux cord so you can play your own music @mamabear01
I wish that was here in America=( would've made it so much easier!!!
awe!! thats very exciting :-) I hope yiu have a smooth and speedy recovery! But enjoy the last few weeks of pregnancy and cherish it cause I didnt enjoy my pregnancy and wish I did cause now I miss being pregnant everyday! @olliesmom
