@lilmomma1116, I think it's still a personal choice. I think the hospital doesn't provide it because they try hard to establish breastfeeding during those few days you are there and comforting through that. I think opinions may vary on wether to use a pacifier or not. But, I know my cousin has given pacifiers to her kids and she successfully breastfeeds.

I would if you know you definitely want to use one. We were told our hospitals does not provide them. (It is a very pro breastfeeding hospital).
