so my husband wants to feed are baby but the thing is that I will be breastfeeding so idk how it would work. he was thinking that when he wants to feed him he would give him formula but I just want my baby to have breast milk. so then he said why don't you pump your milk out and I'll feed it to him and i thought that would be the best thing but then I'm scared that my baby will get use to the bottle. I need help idk what to do because my husband really wants to feed him :/ and we need to come up with something before are baby is here. can anyone help??
thank you and is a hard decision but I hope decide on something before the baby is here.@shaunatb,
my husband felt the same way and I felt the same way you do so then I researchered and bought Dr. Brown's bottles...it's PERFECT.
I'm nursing now and I pump and breastfeed and have no problem with nipple confusing...you also should look into bottles that resemble a nipple...like @emmajeremy2627 said the Tommie tippie bottles are the best for nursing
i use tommee tippie bottles and so do all my friends that breastfeed and they havent had a problem. tommee tippie resemble the breast and nipple. you should try it:)
yea I'm sure even if he had a booklet he wouldn't care lol but I will talk to him because I don't want are baby to get confused and I really want to breastfeed. @williams15
lol so is my husband. I had a booklet on breastfeeding, and I had my husband sit and read about everything, especially nipple confusion. that got my hubby convinced that I was right
thank you that helped I just hope my husband can wait that long his a lol hard headed :/ @williams15
idk I have heard women say that there babies still get use to the bottle @mama2planning1
in my breast feeding class I asked the same question. she said to involve him in other things for the first 4 to 6 weeks, then you can introduce a bottle to the equation without causing nipple confusion. then if you pump a bottle he can start feeding the baby
it is (was for me because I put the kids above all) but look into Dr. Brown's bottles... absolutely great.
