My 5 pounder full term baby was in preemie diapers for like, 2 weeks after he was born but I only bought one pack of preemie sized diapers. My 2 pounder 29 week baby is in the nicu now and they use preemie diapers, and he'll probably be in preemies for a little bit longer. I would say wait on buying preemie diapers until the baby is born, but definitely get a few packs of newborn diapers.

get maybe 2 packs of the 20 diapers of preemie and then a big box of newborn.

my son was born 33 weeks I never bought premiee diapers always new born they were lil big on him but outgrew newborn fast n they don't use premiee diapers in the hospital
