I was thinking after giving birth I'd get the nexplanon. my friend immediately flipped when I told her I was thinking about getting the arm implant, saying it's not a good idea. does anyone have any suggestions about birth control options

Minastrin is a daily pill I was on it before I moved in with my husband and I loved it. Clear skin, weight in check, period 30 minutes once a month:). and I have had horrible luck with birth control. I'm planning to get back on it after I recommend it. plus you can stop whenever you want and not get stabbed in your arm lol:)

Honestly everyone handles different north controls in their own way. What works for someone else, may not work for you. What was a bad story for someone else, may be something amazing for you. Go with what YOU want, if it doesn't work, figure something else out that you'd like.

I have the naxaplon abs so far I really like it. Last 3 years, I don't have to worry about forgetting it, you can breastfeed with it. Getting it doesn't really hurt either no more painful then getting a shot

I had the implant and loved it. had two (6 years) no side affects, no issues.

@mrsstewart, it's completely safe to breast feed with? I'm looking into bc after I have my son too since 2 kids at such a young age would not be good lol. I'll have to talk to my doctor about it, I used to get the shot every 3 months but was always late getting it so it was kinda pointless but I'd definitely like a few years without too much worry haha. Me and my so aren't exactly the rubber type.. Both hate them and I'm pretty sure I got pregnant when we actually were using them and 4 in a row broke so I want actual bc lol

Yes it's a birth control that's safe to breastfeed with.. There can be different side effects with different people but I've had it for about a month and I like it so far. Some people can bleed up to 6 months with it then nothing for the next 2 and a half years or bleed on and off it's hard to say since everyone is different. I have a very light bleeding where I only see blood if a wipe and it's very little and not all the time lol... But if you were to bleed they can prescribe birth control pills to balance the bleeding out
