I'm about 2 and a half weeks postpartum.
I'm not having any pain anymore.
I've been very...In the mood lately.
Is it OK to try to have sex?
😛😛😛
Obviously if it hurts we would stop plus we have condoms because we're not ready to get pregnant again.
But is there any reason I shouldn't

Yes there is a reason you shouldn't. You need to wait six weeks. It's not about your vagina, it's about your uterus. Your uterus now has a big hole in it from where the placenta was attached and that hole needs time to heal (6 weeks). If you have sex before then you risk getting an infection (it doesn't matter how clean you or your partner think you are, it can happen easily) and that infection can be very painful and also cause you to not be able to have anymore babies. Sorry to be a drag but it's just really important to wait 6 weeks.

& yes tons of women will say they had sex before six weeks and it was fine but there's also women who have regretted doing it before six weeks for many reasons. It's just not worth the risk.

what @queendavis said. I would definitely wait rather than take the risk of infection or complications. Trust me, the delayed gratification will be so worth it.

I waited the full 6wks and then until i got the ok frm my doctor.. Its better to be safe bt thats just me

what @queendavis said! I waited until 6wks as well. Yeah, I and hubby were wanting it before then, but its temporary, and six weeks isn't that long considering the risk of infection that could be very bad and cause all sorts of problems for God knows how long! Better to be safe than sorry in my opinion
