If your son wanted to be a princess for Halloween would you let him?
like dress him as a prince just dont tell him hes a prince. and when he ask You agree hes a princess. My nephew had a "Dress" A shirt he put around his waist at home. he grew out of it
principles can't tell you that your son can't wear dresses, and I'd so, suing is in order. no one has the right to say that a boy can't wear a dress to express himself. and there are now laws against children bullying other children. they can be fined or sent to jail themselves depending on the severity. honestly, I would let my wear what he wanted. amd if someone else can't accept it, that's their problem, it isn't their body or their choice.
@theeonlyjeni, and what if kids make fun of him out the principle says he can't wear dresses to school? I'm not disagreeing with you I'm just saying society isn't so accepting, and if he's very young he might be confused and not understand why he can't wear it
okay, let him. he needs to gain his own identity. his own personality. his way of expressing himself.
@theeonlyjeni, what if it's a normal day and not Halloween and they wanted to wear a dress?
absolutely. why can a girl be a ninja turtle or batman but a boy not be his favorite Disney princess? Halloween for children is about imagination, and becoming their favorite characters. why would you want to kill their creativity and imagination?
Absolutely. Neither me nor my husband care at all what our children have interest in. :) they are here to be their own person, not one for you to control.
@kartersmom, no he wouldnt. not even kinda. it's one of our few parenting differences. My son is 1 now and he likes to wear his 4 yr old sisters shoes mainly because he likes wearing shoes lol he also plays with her little purse and those things among others are ok for now because he is one and doesn't know the difference. once he knows boy/girl stuff it will be different
Totally-just like if my daughter wanted to be superman is have no problems with that either
@mrs.blackmon, he wouldn't at any age? Not including if your son is grown, I mean like school age
@forever_hungry, yea and at a young she they don't really know the difference
