it never occurred to me how many people misunderstand or get offended by calling your husband daddy. correct me if im wrong but doesnt a father give his daughter away at the wedding , accepting her soon to be husband in taking on the roll to care for her the most there after? to me i think its more a sign or respect than disrespect . bt maybe thats just me. Nothing makes me feel more loved than when my hubby calls me mama & he enjoys me calling him daddy , we take care of eachother and thats just a simple way to show it. Being pregnant now with our first baby kind of gives us a more "proper" way to use it lol 😊

I get how some girls can be weirded out by it but that's them and their feelings. I respect it. I don't see anything wrong with it, nor do I think it's offensive. It's sweet to see any couple showing each other affection and caring for each other.

@lilymama, i totally understand it too , but it doesnt affect the way we use it you know. i hope we are old and grey calling eachother mama & daddy lol , thanks for the comment girl, nice to see support on that topic. @niki664 thank you also

Of course. I just support any couple that loves and respects each other! Unfortunately some one is always going to have something negative to say.

I think it's just a pet name like any other name who are they to judge? I call my husband daddy because I'm constantly telling the kids when daddy gets home, go ask daddy, ect... It just became habit but I also call him other things but it's all out of love and that's really all that matters

I guess if we have to accept and respect men turning into women and call them she, and the transgendered ppl want us women who birth children to be called birthing individuals instead of pregnant women so as not to offend the transgendered community, we should def accept and respect a man and a woman who are married calling each other mommy and daddy because ideally one day they will be 😊

I've been calling my boyfriend Daddy ever since I found out I was pregnant because I thought it was crazy we were going to parents and it's stuck ever since. I don't say it as a sex thing lol. I just like referring to him like that because I'm excited for our daughter and he's already a good dad and I know she's going to refer to him as that! He doesn't mind it. :)
