sorry guys, I need to vent. 💔
It honestly kills me inside that my grandparents (my dad's side) have no idea I'm pregnant & that I'm expecting a baby girl in January :( They live all the way in Korea & they are very religious & old fashioned so I know they will look down upon me having a baby at such a young age & not being married.. But despite that feeling, something tells me they will be overwhelmed with happiness & excitement. It really hurts me to hide this from them because I want my grandparents to at least see pictures of their great granddaughter.. since I know they'll never be able to meet her. My grandparents are very old & not very healthy, so they will never be able to visit their granddaughter in America :'( & I am currently not in the situation to be able to visit Korea. I honestly hope my Dad eventually tells them the news, because I don't think I could live with myself, if anything ever happened to them.. & they left this Earth never knowing they had a great granddaughter who loves them very much. Sighs. My heart hurts.

my grandma (mom's side)and aunts in Boston still don't know and probably for the same reasons. it sucks because I want them to know but I think my mom's too ashamed to tell them or she just doesn't want them to judge

@ngujen, really ? yes Hun. I definitely think that's the reason my parents aren't telling my grandparents either 😢 it just sucks bc I never wanna hide my daughter from anyone! especially not family.

You'd be surprised how well they may take it! I have very religious people in my family I was nervous about telling because of how they would look at it but they ended up being so happy and can't wait to meet my son!

@mommytomia, yeah like she was face timing one of my aunts and when I walked in she threw the phone down so she couldn't see me. this was awhile ago though. they haven't really talked since then but still. I have a grandma in Vietnam that I really want to know about my daughter. I feel like she would be so excited!

@mommy122015, that's awesome hun! 🙀😘 so happy for you. and yeah, I have a gut feeling they will be excited after they get over the shock just like my parents did.. but since it's my dad's parents I feel like it's not my place to tell them until he's ready ..

@ngujen, damn.. does she ever plan on telling them? I mean I'm sure once the baby is born, they are gonna be dying to tell them and send them pictures..
