Definitely go to a reputable tattoo parlor. They use a needle; the guns can get stuck a rip the baby's soft skin. The shop my sister worked at recommends 6 months plus. They prefer the baby be a year old, but won't take anyone less than 6months old.

I had them done with a gun so they could do both sides at the same time....

my first daughter I did at 8wks... sure cried for a second until I have her a bottle and that was it.... my second is now 2 and I didn't do hers and I think it'll be more difficult because she can pull on them...I wish I would have done hers younger too...

So I've been told it's best to bring them to a tattoo and piercing shop where they use a needle.

Not sure about age but anytime I see these posts I always make a point to let you know I've always heard it's better NOT to use a piercing gun because it has the chance of getting stuck in baby's ear! I hope someone can help with your question though!

My sister had her daughters done at 3month and my other sister cried lol
