My mother in law just asked us to move in with her. How do I say no without offending her? My husband and I like it being just us, our kitties, and soon our little one. She and I also have two very different personalities, and ideas on how a house should be run/ how children should be raised.

bad idea moving in girl you guys have your owns ways and it might not be what she likes so just have your man do the dirty job and explain why you guys will not be moving in, it's for the best.

Just say no and that's that u don't get married to live with a new set of parents u marry so u start ur OWN life with ur new husband

Thanks ladies lol! @evita-planning @mila05052016 That was our point. We have been living here for three years, and we are about to have a new member come late January- early February. We like it being just us. I like making the rules and decorating my house the way I want. We have nice furniture my husband worked hard for, and I don't want to give it all away, or see it ruined there. I also don't want to give up my pets.

Tell her you love the idea but you are comfy and settled. Talk about nesting people are suckers for that! I myself live with my bf's mom and brother. I take care of most of the rent myself and also electric. So we help each other out with them paying a small portion in rent and they cover propane/gas. It works right now but I myself am worried that we dont have enough room. 3 bedroom house and they each have their own room. I have two dogs one tiny one very large. So as of right now there are 5 souls in our what seems to be cramped room. Ocd runs wild and anxiety high because i dont want to have clutter but babies bring a lot of items into the pic. You are smart in wanting to stay and protect what you've worked incredibly hard for both you and your fella!
