try using the qtip trick...take a qtip with vasileen and insert just the tip and swirl it around for a minute or so and usually works right away...when my daughter was that age she sometimes had trouble and this worked within seconds and once was later that day. when they are young sometimes they need help because the mussels are still getting strong.

Try putting a little petroleum jelly on the end of the thermometer you gently put it in their butt and it should help him go@arianaandjordynn

Have you tried to use the thermometer to take a rectal temperature ??
