I just gotta get this off my chest otherwise I'll never be able to sleep. You guys can just ignore if you want, gonna be long:
My heart hurts. Don't get me wrong when I say this my son is a blessing and I'm not regretting being pregnant. I just feel I failed him already because I wanted to be out of my city before I got pregnant. It makes me sad because I just feel like my hometown is so unsafe. I see it on the news more than once every month about a killing/shooting and a bunch of other crimes. Whenever I say I wanna move everyone tells me that there's crime everywhere and it's just gang related, let them kill each other off. That's not how I wanna look at life and certainly not what I want my son subjected to. I'm tired of hearing gun shots, hearing sirens all the time, etc. I certainly don't want my son to ever witness a gang member "just killing each other off" if we happen to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. This town gives me anxiety. Especially after my abusive ex I've feared staying home alone, I just have this fear someone's going to break in. I'm constantly scanning my surroundings and that's how it always was growing up. I just wanted my son to have a more care free childhood. I also think back on how I couldn't even go for a walk without men young and ridiculously old slowing down their vehicles, literally sticking their head out the windows and eyeing me down and yelling out disgusting things. I thank God everyday nothing happened to me. Not only that this town is just filthy and run down. Its bankrupt. I want out so bad but don't have the resources to move yet. I just fear for his and my families safety..

I think it's not only your best interest but your sons to move. I'm originally from NYC and when I made the big move to Florida i help like a weight had been lifted and my soul was saved. I wouldn't and have always said I'm never rasing a family here and left. You can do it girl. Your family will try to hold you back but living everyday in Fear isn't living at all its surviving. For that I know your strong and you can do it. Your family will probably want to move right after you. My family is already talking about it. Try not to overwhelm yourself even tho it's understandable to be. When you feel like that just think of where you want to be and how your going to get there. You can always feel free to contact me as well.

That would be scary, and crime is everywhere BUT not everywhere has shootings and killings. But you wanting to get your child out of there shows that you have NOT failed at being a mama! Your chance will come girl and I pray it comes soon!
