your breathing is key. i had both my kids natural
i also had to have a really cold washrag on my head.
oh and if you can try to use the labor ball if your hospital had one

the least number of ppl in the room distracting you is what I would suggest. I mean yes you're gonna want certain ppl in the room but the more ppl talking and catching your focus will throw off any other techniques you try. good luck! :)
