When my husband and I were taking classes at our hospital they said not to bring and baby clothing or blankets to the hospital because of the nurse comes to change the baby she will probably throw whatever the baby is wearing in the laundry and they will get lost. Is this normal? I have to have a c section so we will be in the hospital 4/5 days and it seems weird for her to have nothing but a shirt and blanket from the hospital that entire time.

I took a few of my own things and nothing ever got taken.

I took clothes but no blankets.. But my son also never left my room after having him until he was circumcised and that was the day we got discharged...

They didn't throw it in the laundry at my hospital however, they took it off and returned her in one of their gowns and receiving blankets and folded her outfit and swaddle blanket and put it in her crib to give back so I just left her in her hospital gown unless we had company for pictures.

I took stuff for my son because they only give the babies a t shirt and I wanted his in oneies. you can bring it just keep track of it

I'm on baby #4 and I've always dressed them, not the nurses... I've never heard of them doing laundry....
