Okay so this is long but I have to get opinions! My in laws live in Florida, my hubby and I live in Texas but his younger brother lives in Florida also. His brother met a 19 year old girl that had a 19 month old girl and within a month they were engaged, 2 months they were living together, 3 months she was pregnant, 8 months they were married and now after 2 years together and his brother getting a felony charge for having an unregistered gun they are separated and he is living with his parents again at 27 years old. So now his kid and her kid basically live with him and his parents feed, bathe and watch both of them while he works and even when hes there. this girl literally only has her kids Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, he has them aka his parents have them the rest of the time! My in laws paid for their wedding and her $7k ring, threw her a reception, were there for the baby showere and birth, threw their kid a one year birthday party, gave them a $10k loan, paid to get 2 of their cars fixed and now are raising his kid and hers! My in laws have only met our children a few times (our 2 yr old my mil has only met once and she has never met our 15 month old and doesn't care to, my fil has only met our 2 yr old twice and our 15 month old once at almost a year) they dont give my children gifts for birthdays or Christmas, they dont call to talk to them, I dont have a ring and got married at the justice of the peace, I asked my mil if she wanted to come to my daughters baby shower she said no, I scheduled an induction and they didnt want to come they came a month after she was born, they literally could careless about our kids. Even when we tell them were stranded on the side of the road cuz our csr just died they just say ohh well cant you get home?? They bailed my husband's brother out of jail $5k!!! does anyone think im overreacting or do I have a right to not want them in our lives??
