Getting pretty discouraged at the hard work of breastfeeding. Has anyone ever tried doing both? Breast milk and formula feeding from the bottle? I just don't want to set myself up for failure when I have to return to work. And how do you ladies feel about the Medela FreeStyle Breast pump? Should I return it and just rent a hospital grade pump? Thanks 😊

I have that pump, I'm gonna do both... I wanna do great breast only but I'm trying to be realistic with my self. but don't be discourage and do the best you can

I wanna strictly breast feed but I'm not producing enough milk yet , so I'm also formula feeding. I can't wait to get my pump. But don't feel discouraged you got this !!

medela is hospital grade...most hospitals use them

I've heard medelas are great! I have the pump in style advance. And I'm hoping for the best with breast feeding too! Hopefully it works out! I'm sure you'll be fine;) at least you're trying!

yes I have a Medela pump I have to say it's the best and I pump and formula feed both with bottles

@rajshida, do you exclusively bottle feed with breast milk and formula or do you alternate between the bottle and breast?

My oldest I pumped like crazy so he could have milk while I was away and then breastfed him while I was home. I guess also I was lucky my work let my baby sitter bring him to me while I was at work so I could breastfeed him when he refused a bottle.
