Did any of you ladies go into labor while you were at work? a girl at work just had to have emergency surgery & my boss doesn't want me to leave until she makes it back. although I still have a while I'm still wondering about the future.

Sometimes it's out of your control ;) your little is going to come when they're ready, if it's before she comes back sorry boss something's can't wait! But try not tostress about it I believe the average due date is at 41 weeks 1 day!

I plan on going on leave at 39 weeks unless I still feel ok then I will just work until I go into labor I reckon lol @hippiegardenmama

For sure! As long as you feel well enough to definitely make that $ mama!! You'll feel good about it too-but if you feel like you need to be home earlier than that listen to your body and baby. You'll know!

I feel really good at work right now for the most part but my dr told me to just work as long as I feel comfortable & I'm not in pain! I'm going as far as I can so I have more time afterwards lol but I also saved my 2 weeks paid vacation to use for maternity leave too @hippiegardenmama

What @hippiegardenmama, said... If you feel good enough to work, that's great! Staying active while pregnant is great and helps make laboring a little easier. BUT if you're feeling run down, don't over do it. I worked until I was 38 weeks but didn't have my baby until I was 41w1day. What ever you do though, don't let your boss guilt you into staying longer than you want.
