What kind/brand of prenatal vitamins you recommend? I wanted something that has all I need so I don't need to take too many pills. But I will if I need to. Thanks
@rhonda.otero, try the Rainbow Lite brand available at Target - they are very highly rated and are whole food / plant based, and gentle on the stomach. They are generally great for those who experience morning sickness. You can also ask your doctor for a prescription, they have ones your insurance will cover. I got lke four sample brands from my midwife and never tried them becauae I stuck with Expecta.
I just reviewed the ingredients on the gummies vs the ingredients on mine, and it seems like the gummies are missing a lot of essential ingredients 😕 Plus, the dose of each ingredient is higher in the Expecta. Im guessing thats why the gummies dont make most people sick - plus the lack of iron. If you cant take regular prenatals, a gummy is certainly better than nothing at all. With my first daughter, I couldn't take prenatals to save my life, so my doctor told me to take two Flintstones per day instead.
@sarahemccormick, wow thanks! I am going to have to pick something else up that's a whole 150mg more of DHA! I compared in the stores but I expected them to prescribe me one but they didn't
I've been taking them my whole pregnancy and I'm 13.5 weeks. Also, its two pills - one softgel, one hard multivitamin, but they both go down easy. These two pills alone are more than enough to give the baby, and you, everything you need 😊 My iron levels have been high at all of my appointments, and I have had great levels with everything else as well.
@sarahemccormick, is that pill by itself enough? Or do I have to complement with other? Also, how long have you been taking? I'm about 2 and a half weeks now and haven't started.
