Having a small dilemma.

I have a very low pain tolerance. I had the epidural during labor and it went well. I was just in to much pain.

Well now I'm in the postpartum unit and of course I no longer have the epidural. I'm getting really bad cramps. I know it's normal but I don't deal well. my doctor gave me motrin and I tried just that all day. Around 4 am I was in tears and unable to even hold the baby because I was in pain. My doctor gave me a percocet. I could still feel the cramps but I could talk through them, they were tolerable. I had 2 percocet up until right now and I felt they really helped.

Well I tried to not take it this last time I could. But the cramps feel even worse. I fell. I'm in tears again. I can't even hold the baby on my own. I told hubby I was going to take it when the doctor came back and he got all weird.

I asked him why and he said he didn't want me to take it. That he thinks I can deal with the pain and that my body is just basically making me fake being in pain so that I will take more percocet because of my addiction.

I really don't feel like that's true. I just pushed a human out of my vagina. I feel like I'm going to hurt and it's stupid to pretend I'm not. But he made such a big deal out of it now I feel like I'm doing something wrong by taking it and I'm not sure I want to take it. but I hurt so bad.
