To the ladies who have kids already...do your emotions go back to normal after the baby is born? I not normally an emotional person but it has been insane this pregnancy I can cry at the drop of the dime and snap at the smallest things...I feel like someone else...will I get to be me again after baby?

Unfortunately, I think emotions/hormones are worse after the baby is born. I've always been an sensitive and emotional person.. And since my daughter was born 4 weeks ago it's been way worse. It's definitely hormones though, still trying to figure out what's going on, they say it'll get better. But it's definitely a rough road the first few weeks.

I think so lol. I used to cry when I would bear lullabies when I was pregnant😂 but now I'm good

I'm on baby #4 and it's taken a couple weeks after each child for me. I've had post partum depression after each one but it only lasted a week or 2.

It depends on the person honestly. I wasn't very emotional before I ever got pregnant, then pregnancy emotions hit me like a freight train and I would cry at the drop of a hat. Since then I'm still way more emotional than before pregnancy, but it definitely calmed down a bit from when I was pregnant. Now I'm pregnant again and it's all bad ✋🏼😂

I felt like I snapped out of the crazy emotions more quickly because frankly with a toddler and newborn I don't have time to be emotional but, I do have my moments that get me put they last a second and I'm back to doing whatever I was doing.

Normally it goes away after 2-3 weeks max an you go back to normal. But it if continues after that you can form post part um depression and postpartum ocd.

Hey mama I hope you don't mind me commenting on an older post. But I wanted to let you know that you will most likely get to your old self again. During my first pregnancy I was a serious B****! I hated it! The second I had my daughter the B**** part went away but I became VERY emotional for about a week, which is called the "baby blues" and it's very common. After the first week I was pretty much back to normal and now during this pregnancy I haven't had an ounce of hormone induced crazyness, no irrational emotions or irritability. Hang in there mama, you'll feel normal soon!
