❌NO NEGATIVE RUDE REMARKS❌ Abortion? Have any of you mommys had one? How did it effect you…

I've had one about ten years ago and honestly it was the worst experience of my life m. Physically, I was fine. But mentally and emotionally I suffered for a long time. I was seriously depressed for quite some time afterwards and still have times where I find myself crying about it.

@nursebetti, if you don't mind me asking..why did you get it? And do you feel like that was the right choice at the time?

I never had one never will all I can say moms that do get really depressed n emotional but that killing another life

I did it because I was young and in nursing school and was faced with a choice between a career or raising a child with nothing to offer. I was living with my mom and I basically let her talk me into it. I was unsure then if it was the right choice but felt pressured. Looking back on it I think that I should've stuck with my gut and not had it.

I myself have never gotten one. But my mom and my sister both have and from what they've told me, they both regret it deeply. My mom was raised by strict Catholics so she was scared of what her parents would think since her and my dad weren't married at the time but pregnant. She's told me that even to this day she feels she made the wrong choice and wishes she could take it back. My sister has also told me she really regrets it and wishes she could take it back, especially since she already has one child but still made the choice to do that. She said she feels it was definitely the wrong choice. So that's just my small bit of input!
