The last call I just received at work has made me completely sick to my stomach. A young lady called to ask if our hospital did procedures for abortions. I personally, was at loss for words that I couldn't even give her an answer, I asked her to repeat herself to make sure I heard that correctly. Given I have only worked here since May, I was unsure if our facility did those procedures. As I told her I would transfer her to someone who would know more information on "that" subject, she proceeded by telling me, "can you hurry up, I'm in a hurry, I don't have 9 months of my time to give to carry a thing." I wanted to snap. I wanted to rip her a new one, but I can not risk losing my job over another human beings ignorance. I am a mother. That is NOT how you treat your child, unborn or not! An unborn child is NOT a "thing". That is a human being, with a beating heart! I pray for the lady who called tonight, trying to find the answers of aborting your child, your own flesh and blood growing inside you, I hope that one day, you feel the pain of what you are about to unleash to an unborn innocent child. You may think, that just because they aren't born yet, they are nothing, that they feel nothing, that they mean nothing. But to some, that little flicker of a heart beat showing up on a expecting mothers first ultrasound, means absolutely everything to someone who gives a damn. My babies mean everything in the world to me, I couldn't imagine "aborting" them. Brenton changed my life for the better, and now I'm so thrilled that we were blessed to be expecting a baby girl, and I love her just as much. Abortion is the cruelest, most disgusting thing, & I could never imagine getting up the nerve to put myself through that. Knowing that I had a chance at creating life, when there are so many woman out there who can't. I am still at loss for words. I can not stress this enough, that is your child. Your baby. Your own blood. Flesh. DNA. How could you even begin to ready yourself for that process? #SorryForVenting #AgainstAbortion #RantOver

I'm against abortion too but if that's how she feels she doesn't deserve to be a mother. Hope your day got better.

@Karinagrace, no she does not. @ilovebabyjosiah I just see it as, so many woman out here that are unable to have children, and all these young girls, (not all young, sometimes older as well) going out and having unprotected sex, knowing the outcomes of doing so, and then of course it's a one night stand, or they don't want children because they want to keep banging different people and keep partying. It's just sad. I don't see how some people think like that..

And you're right, that baby doesn't deserve a mother like that... But that doesn't mean she couldn't have given it up for adoption. There's just so many options, abortion would have to be the last choice..

I agree with not liking how she spoke about it-sounds cruel, but she could have been in a bad situation such as rape or incest, etc. it's tough to know someone else's situation until you really get to know them. Not every abortion is because of someone's ignorance or irresponsibility. I'm pro choice but respect those who are pro life as we are all entitled to our own opinions without judging others ☺️

@mickbaby it doesn't seem she would be in a bad situation by saying "she doesn't have 9 months of time to give to carry a thing." That is ignorance at its best. You could tell by how the words slipped from her tongue.

@floridamommy1024, I could care less if it does or not. Freedom of speech. I am entitled to express how I feel, and that is what I did. I just think it's wrong.
