Why do they want to give you a c section? Is it medically necessary?

They want to give me a c section due to my lichen sclerosus getting really bad during pregnancy. There is a serious risk that that if I have a vaginal birth that what is left of my vagina would be completely destroyed and might even need major reconstructive surgery. I am currently 34wks and I currently have so much vaginal pain I can't walk straight. @bria.k

I'm most likely getting one as well it's nothing to freak bout I don't want one either but it's Wats best for my baby girl

I promise all will be okay! If you have a good support system and someone to help you recover, it will be okay. The surgery is literally less than 10 mins. You don't feel a thing! And the first week is pretty hard and painful at times but it's not as bad as your imaging. Recovery is not too bad. :)

I am 4 weeks PP and my recovery was good and feel no pain after about 2 weeks.

Honestly the c-section recovery has been easier for me then the 4 th degree tearing I had with my first. The first couple of days are the hardest but once you get past getting up and walking the first time it gets a lot easier.

I was scared to death when I had to have a c section. I tried for 14 hours to have my son naturally before I chose a c section over using forceps and suction. Honestly the worst part of the whole surgery was getting numb before the surgery itself. It was super fast and my baby was on my chest within minutes. I was in the or less than 30 minutes. My advice is just to take it easy and rest so you heal properly. You'll do great and I promise its not that bad at all.

And my fiance was still able to cut our sons umbilical cord as well.
