I feel that this is getting out of hand and a little misunderstood. I can only speak for myself. this whole hastag about speaking out on their abortion thing, I feel in my person opinion that it is 100% up to the woman carrying that baby/fetus/embro what say you, when the abortion is done. if she chooses to abort or not too, to go for adoption, or to just keep the baby it is up to her. no one else can make that choice for her. I do not bash or put down any women who has had an abortion or who is thinking of doing one because honestly I do not know what her situation is or how she is feeling, no one will. I just feel whatever she chooses to do is a personal decision and it is private. now if the woman chooses to let other people know that she did this it is up to her or is she wishes to deal with the pain/ greif on her own. I just don't feel like it is appropriate to make this a hastag. like it is a new fad. there is other ways to bring awareness to this besides treating as if it was something else.

Totally respect your opinion. I myself personally feel that social media and hashtags are the current way to spread news and bring awareness to controversial topics. So many causes and such have been noticed on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and more. Especially with the younger generations. People are informed faster on the internet than through other media outlets. I believe that's what this group is trying to do, raise awareness about the sometimes necessity of abortions during a crucial time with politicians trying to shut down planned parenthood and end abortion altogether.

I didn't think about it that way. @mickbaby I think shutting pp down would be bad. They do so mi h more than abortions. And making abortions illegal wouldn't stop them from happening. Women would just go back to other methods like hangers to get it done.

oh no I get it I feel that is true but why not do something like open a page or something like that I feel like hastags are for other things you. instead of just creating a hastag again letting people tell their stories why not make a fb,twitter,instagram page and give details and have people post their stories and experiences things like that. because with this hastag they get peoples stories or people bashing these women for their choices.

I'm all for a woman making her own choices with her body. I was a bit misinformed I guess because I thought the tag was a way of bragging of what was done. While I am prochoice, abortions aren't for me and I thought it was a more private matter. But I wouldn't bash any woman having one. I have friends who've had the procedure. And also, while I am pro choice, I'm not pro using abortion as birth control.

Exactly! If you haven't, you should watch Elizabeth Warrens speech on not shutting down planned parenthood it's super informative-she's awesome. While I don't agree with women using abortion as birth control, I think it's a necessity that absolutely saves some women's lives in certain situations.

I feel if a woman is using abortions as birth control that's not ok at all. but if its for other reason like she's a rape/molested vitctum or the pregnancy is a risk to the mother or the baby then ok. if a woman has 12,13,14,15 abortions then she should not have kids at all.

Yeah, there are far too many birth control methods out there. But women will do what they want with their body, whether any of us like it or not. I personally know someone who has had over 6 in a 6 year period, when all that had to be done was a long lasting birth control. But is isn't my body, so I have no say over the matter, nor am I God, so I have no right to judge. 😏😏

I just hope they realize the damage they are doing to their body with that many, because I remember I asked my teacher when I went to school for nursing what's the damage of an abortion(we were going over reproduction and birth) and she said the more that are done the less likely when the woman wants to get pregnant it will be harder because the walls were the egg attachs are so damaged

it's true @frances.gln92 . my own mother was a victim of this. she was forced to have an abortion as a young teen and after she became an adult and tried to have kids she became pregnant and miscarried 3 babies because they had messed her up so much down there. finally she was told of a treatment to help not lose the baby and she used that with me and it worked and that is how i am here. 😊 but unfortunately my mother now suffers from uterine prolapse which also was a side effect of the abortion. her uterus came out

some woman who just use it as a birth control method don't care as long as their not pregnant any more and they don't really listen or understand the consequences to their actions. I knew a girl the same age as me who had 6+ abortions and I asked why she didn't just use condoms or birth control and she said she couldn't remember to take it. and now her and her husband wants to have kids (she didn't tell him that she had so many abortions) and they've miscarried 4 times
