you can pay for one to be done. usually doctors won't do another sono unless it's medically necessary.

@brudd330, so have you gotten your anatomy scan? you could try calling and asking if you can schedule a gender scan. They shouldn't charge you but I'm not sure how your insurance works. You could always ask the doctors office if you would have to pay though

they should have done that at your 20 week appointment where they measure your baby and stuff. have they done that? and I have Medicaid as well. try calling your doctors office and ask if they've done an anatomy scan yet.

What kind of foods do you like to snack on? Is you belly low or high? Is your belly round or more like a football?

@brudd330, the gender should have been revealed at least at your anatomy scan. Has nothing to do with the type of insurance you have. It's part of the prenatal care. Making sure all the anatomy aka body parts and measurements are conducive with how far along you are and to be sure everything measures within the normal limits.

@karinagrace, I've been eating a lot of sweets and wanting fresh vegetables and my belly is high and it's round @nurseriri all I know is that my baby has good heart beats my doctor will be doing a glucose test on the 30th with me and he told me he's not going to give me another scan till 3 weeks before I give birth

I believe it's a girl. I've noticed that when your pregnant with a girl you like sweet and boys like salty treats. Girls tend to carry high and more round. Boys tend to like to be low and football shaped. Congratulations on your pregnancy

At 28-29 week you need a growth scan. So maybe you can find out about the gender or might as well wait to be surprised.

thats not true i carried my girls low and my son was high and my belly was never a football shape lol it was always round

and medical only gives u two ultrasounds ... have u had one yet ? how many weeks were you?

That's carzy I would be mad they usually tell u if ur past 20weeks to be sure sure

I am upset and I've asked him as well and he's said nothing to let me know what he plans to do to show me the gender @datnavajogirl
