I may be overreacting but seriously.... so I was in the er up until a few minutes ago since 9pm yesterday. I got a CT scan and of course I'm curious. you are injecting shit into me and if it made me feel funny what about my baby who can taste at this stage. how dare you answer me with "I don't know if the baby feels the contrast like you did because it did go in your blood stream that's a good question ". how dare you! ok you told me about the radiation and gave me a shield cool. but wth that metallic nastiness went in My blood stream which also fuels my baby! someone better give me a damn answer! how has a study on this not been done. my husband is so pissed!! ugh anyone can ease my mind about this. I am drowning water down right now to flush this out!

@mommy2jaidyn.noah, the contrast dye when injected intravenously does cross the placenta but it does not cause harm. I work OT injecting the contrast and inserting IV at my hospital. Hope it wasn't an abdominal or pelvis CT cause that might cause a slight risk to the baby. I've never worked with a pregnant mother but I can just imagine how nerve wrecking that must be and the nurse needed to give you more info or whoever prescribed the procedure. Just drink tons of water to flush your system.

You're absolutely right. Did they do an EKG ? Why CT though? Do you have a history of DVT's or pulmonary embolism? Nevertheless feel better and get some rest
