Hey ladies, I have a very important question. A dear friend of mine has recently found out she has a shortened cervix 1.5cm and has been told she is at high risk for preterm labor. Those who have experienced this do you have info and advice I could pass onto her?
I told her she should get a second opinion. That sounds like the best option
i had a doctor that freaked me out and told me i needed my stuff sewn shut so the baby wouldn't fall out...i changed docs...my doc said i was good to go they would watch me and measure my cervix throughout the pregnancy. (i got alot more sonograms) i did have my baby early at 36 weeks and 5 days but i am tiny and already had gestational diabetes and had my daughter early too same boat so i was already high risk. hope that helps some.
@adrienneerinne27 good advice. i think mine was a 3 and towards the end it was a 2. but if its that short yea she probably needs stitched up. but getting a second opinion is never bad if you are talking about a surgery that may be unnecessary.
