Ladies, what is the best way to start transitioning my son into a toddler bed? He is 13 months old,…

I tried to do it and I couldn't get mine to stay in his room, he got a routine with his crib and he's a crazy sleeper, scared me to to think he would fall out. sorry I got nada help, now mine's got a bro on the way in 2 months and I'm resorting to a bassinet hahaha my kid is the boss ugh

my daughter slept with me basically from birth until she was almost 4 years old. it took time and sleepless night but really all you can do is put them in it if there is crying just let it happen

@mmm32687, lol awh, my son has always been really good for sleeping in his crib! He was in a bassinet for a few months and then we moved him to a crib and he did great, so we are hoping he will do just as well with the toddler bed! @lilleeandbrantley we never let our son sleep with us, except maybe once or twice when he wasn't feeling well, just in hopes of not making it a routine, he has always done really good sleeping through the night and in new places, so we're praying he does well with this too!!

mine actually walks to bed and climbs up it to get in now so I don't wanna take that away from him lol and I avoided letting him sleep in our bed but my husband is a pushover so my kids spoiled when daddies home,

It was so hard the first week....lol once she realized that she could get out of the bed on her own she would sneak out of her room and go into her sisters room. Sometimes early morning and turn the TV on....lol He dad had to give her a stern talking to. DO NOT GET OUT OF YOUR BED TONIGHT or you will be punished.... now she won't even get out when she's awake. She yells for one of us to come and get her.

@mmm32687, haha that's adorable!! @case closed2015 I think that will be my problem too, but we thought about putting a baby gate up at the end of the hallway so he has no choice but to come to our room if he does get out of bed lol

I moved my son out of his crib at a year he is now 3 and i am so happy i did it young and i will be doing the same with hunter

I lasted down with my kid on the couch til she fell asleep in the dark with no light or noise and shed be out in 10min and then id pick her up and put her in her bed and she'd stay there the whole night.

my kid was excited for the new bed she was all smiles lol she was happy to sleep in it lol. she get me up in the morning before doing anything

@lucky20074, that's what we are hoping to do! That's why I want to start him early! His crib turns into one but we are buying a toddler bed so Braeleigh can use the crib when she gets here! @february2016 I believe my son will do good! He loves sleeping just like his mommy! Haha

lol mine used to now it's a fight sometimes now that she's 5 lol

haha we have a gate up to block out kitchen so he only has a straight line,
