🚨Okay I need opinions... 🚨
do you guys wait to buy everything like the essentials for the babe until AFTER your baby shower? because my family lives in Washington while my in laws live in Oregon we are having 2 baby showers. which I'm super grateful for, don't get me wrong. BUT my MIL wants to do theirs on December 5th when I'll be 35 weeks (babe is due January 9. if they don't change my due date)... how do you wait until 35 weeks to buy everything else you need??

I would wait until after your first shower. Then if your registered anywhere you can also see what has been purchased online. It's hard waiting that close especially when your nesting you want to make sure you have everything ready for baby. Of course you can always buy any take back if you get doubles. :)

I bought like diapers, shampoo, wipes, clothes in biggrr sizes etc things that you'll use eventually and won't go bad. I wouldn't buy to many big things people get mad or buy like a jolly jumper or walker things for when baby is older!

Oh booboo... Don't stress, everything will fall into place, just as long as you have the car seat when you deliver you're good to go!

I'm due dec 29, and I just had my shower last weekend. I mainly for winter clothes, blankies, some random bath stuff, and a tub and monitors. So I would say after the first shower, take what you have and compare it to what you need, and at the second shower maybe just let everyone know what you still need.
