@jhordan23, my son was the exact same way... from elementary to freshman year... I'd get calls, emails and notes about how bright he is but he's too much of a class clown. he'd get the class clown award every year....and the class would go wild when they gave it to him...as if it was something so great. lol.. thank god his academics were always great though. he's a sophomore this year... so far, so good..no notes, emails or calls from any of his teachers. seems like it was only a 9 YEAR phase! lmao

I've had the same trouble with my son! He's in kindergarten this year but last year in pre k he got a class clown award and also the teacher said he'd make a good lawyer cause he sure knows how to negotiate! Lol. This year he's doing a little better. But this week he was on green (which is best) all week! Im so proud of him!

I know how you feel. My oldest has Bipolar 2 Disorder, which makes him act completely irradic. Before his meds, he was getting suspended and getting detention every week, sometimes multuple times a week. I am happy for you and for him that he had a great week! What I do when my aon has an especially good week is write him a little note encouraging him or make him a little card and he cherishes those things, even at 12 years old.

@sarahemccormick, ...aww thanks so much...and such a good idea probably going to start doing that...these boys r something else but I wouldn't trade him for the world!! ;)
