I am completely heartbroken right now...I'm envy you ladies who have amazing mother in laws 😢...mine screwed us so bad..she insisted the Venue was paid for and everything was in order..hubby checks and nothing was paid for and they gave our room and date away...I have people coming from New York and philly to attend this even and I have no idea what to do and I just paid a shit ton of bills so I can't just book a spot...she has been such a disappoint since the day I met her and has always treated my husband like trash...I tried to give her an chance and this is what she does...I'm terrified to tell my mother because all she is gonna want to do is fight her ugh...trying not to cry and I'm trying to keep it together...this is why I didn't want a shower smh I don't even need anything I'm just so mad...going to light my candles and just pray or do some burjeria lol jk (sorta)

@amber.s95, I know I should but I'm so scared to her temper is worse than mine and on top of that my mom spent so much money on the baby and decorations already I feel terrible asking her for anything and my dad just helped me with money so I just don't want to be a bother...I just hate her!

@ilovebabyjosiah, your right...I just wanted to try to give her a chance since it's the first time In years she has showed interest in anything but yeah we are going to ask his uncle who is the only one who has an insane back yard just pray he says yes...its just such a pain to have to txt everyone especially since we already had a date change and venue change people are going to be pissed

I know that must suck! But think of it this way, a baby show isnt an entitlement. If people want to come support your baby and celebrate the arrival then the decorations, venue etc wont matter. Your MIL showed she isnt interested in sharing this joyous time so.... Screw her. It shouldnt be about who will be mad or upset. Try to find a cheap or free venue ( relative home, community center, etc) then let the celebration go as planned
