really wishing I had a doppler right about now....I stress out about so much more with this one than I did with my first and since I still haven't felt kicks I dont know for sure everything is okay unless I can hear the heart beat....well my overly anxious miniature dachshund just came bounding across my king size bed at full speed and on top my already sore belly with all 8lbs of him and knocked the wind out of me. now I hurt even more and I'm freaking out bc I want to be sure the baby is okay...am I just over reacting? he knows he's in trouble bc of the sounds I made and he immediately went and laid down at my feet and is giving me sad faces...I feel bad bc I know he didn't mean to hurt me but omg it made me feel like I need to hurl and want to cry.

@kermi86, am sure your ok my dogs do that all the time always having to take care of my tummy. But I understand you want to reassure baby is ok.

@chela915, thanks I hope so...I have my gender scan in two weeks so hopefully I feel some kind of kicking before then or its gonna be the longest two weeks of my life! :/

Our bodies are tough. It would take a heck of a lot more than an 8 lb dog to do damage to the baby through the uterus! Don't worry! Everything will be fine :)

I'm sorry if I didn't read this right, but have you previously been feeling kicks? I don't know where you are, but I live a little south of Dallas. If you wanted to use my Doppler here, you're more than welcome! I has mine for reassurance, too. Especially before she started kicking and I have an anterior placenta, so I didn't feel anything until like 21 weeks or so! I wish I could drive so I could meet you somewhere or being it over or something. :/

@ashleymarietv, thank you that's sweet to offer. I'm about an hour east of Dallas...between Kaufman and Tyler. I'm not sure if I was feeling kicks or gas a few weeks ago but nothing this last week but at my appt Wednesday we found the heart beat so I know it's okay as of Wednesday but my puppy scared me a bit and since I'm not actively feeling constant kicks I worry. where did you purchase yours if you don't mind me asking?

I purchased the Sonoline B Doppler off eBay. It was pretty cheap, I think around $40? But I believe that's also because I did expedited shipping, haha. I would definitely invest in one! Because of my placenta, there were still some days I didn't feel kicks until recently and I used it often. It was so wonderful to have. I remember one day I had a nightmare and just woke up feeling so uneasy and was sobbing. Thank God I had that Doppler! I found her HB and just immediately felt so much better just knowing she was okay! I'm wondering though if I were to send you mind to borrow if it could get there faster? You're not too far from me, I wouldn't think it'd take long! I wish they had same day shipping from USPS or something. Maybe they do? My Doppler only took a couple of days though to send, so I think it depends on how quickly you want the reassurance, although I'm sure it's all good! :) I definitely understand though. When I was around 18 weeks, SIL's cat attacked me and jumped off a 10 foot tall bookshelf thing onto my bump and tried to lunge for my face. I hate that cat! But my whole bump hurt for awhile after. Thankfully, our babies are well protected and nothing bad happened because of it. :) They have lots of cushion!

Just wanted to reiterate that her cat is horrible and attacks everyone all the time, including our kitties. It's so sad! I know your pup didn't mean to hurt you. :( They just don't know any better.
