So, thanks to TimeHop today something hit me in the face. 4 years ago today, I was getting my second (in a series of 3) shot to shit my ovaries down and try to starve out my endometriosis. 4 months before I had finally had enough and signed the forms to have it surgically removed. It came back with a vengeance. They told me if the temporary menopause didn't help, I didn't have many options left. I clung to the hope that it would be worth it and one day I would have my child. Today, 4 years later, I am 17w 3d pregnant with twins. My 2 little miracle babies. I begged God for 1 baby with 1 successful pregnancy. He has blessed me with 2. I say this to say, never give up hope and do NOT let your doctors talk you into what you aren't comfortable with. Fight for you because if you don't, who will? Doctors are supposed to have your best interest, but the harsh reality is, not all of them do. Sometimes they forget to see the human being behind the diagnosis. So for those struggling with infertility, I have since I was 19 and diagnosed with PCOS (yes I have both), 10 years. And if your doctor isn't listening to you, don't hesitate to get another opinion. Take charge of you.
