I had it done at 10wks 5days and found out 6 days later 11wks 4 days a baby girl

Welp announcing the gender and pregnancy would be awesome together.. Have "get together" and announce it 😉 both.. They told me up to 2wks an die was on vacation in Florida when I MISSED the call 📞 because I wasn't expecting it that soon lol so luckily I called right back and got my results.. I litterly had just stepped out of my hotel 🏩 room to go next door 🚪 were my sister in law and brother was for like 3min lol I was very panicky lol

@blessedw7, lol well they wanted me to wait until my next appointment which is in a month I told them I would be calling them in two weeks. She said the two weeks was a worst case scenario but I will give them a week and a half lol

@ab it's usually done if your gonna be 35+ at time of birth because woman of "maternal" age have higher risk of complications.. Or if you have a history of complications like down syndrome then insurance will cover either or.. But paying out of pocket is very pricie I was told 2-3000 not sure though.... There is something most doctors have now it's called harmony test, I hear it takes 4-6wks for results though and it's just a couple of hundred dollars 💵, my office didn't do it though. Just ask your doctor

How will you find out so early?!

@ab, it was covered by the insurance I'm only 30 and my friends that are pregnant have had it done as well and they are my age or younger and not high risk. I would just ask. I asked and she did it five minutes later.

@juliannap, it's blood test they do to test for genetic disorders but it also gives you the gender as early as 6 weeks because your body absorbs some of the baby's DNA

But I have a question so I'm RH negative which usually leaves me and my baby not carrying the same blood type so I'm not sure how this test would work for me but I'll still ask!

@juliannap, it's called the panorama but they have other test. You can just ask for the genetic test that also provides true gender

@ab, honestly I'm not sure but it's the chromosomes I believe not exactly the blood type.. You can google it.. The test was on cbs and it explains how they are able to determine it but I'm in NY and my friends are in Texas so it may depend on the state or the doctors office
